Vote us for the QOOL Awards (Queen of the Scene). Here is an excerpt from their comunique: "We had so many bands play for us this year, many more than last year. We put this together in a rush as we just wanted to show our appreciation to the local music community. But now we feel horrible that we left out some of our favorite and hardest working bands. So we are opening a new category: MORE

  
  With a near decade of political and social repression under George W., it seems odd to me that more people aren’t more angry, more restless, more fed up with being overlooked, sacrificed, and terrorized into quiet compliance. It’s seems many people have been simply lost in just struggling to stay afloat. We’ve seen the results in a dumbing down of all categories of life, including the arts. [more]
